Unpacking the Core Problem Statement
"How Might"
Your 'Core Problem Statement' will always start with the words "How might".
Target Group
Your project will be 'human-centred' which means you should pick your target group based on who is most affected by the problem. You do not want to pick something too broad as it will be hard to solve the problem for all people, however if you can narrow your target group down to a few characteristics you will find greater success.
Action
Picking your action can be tricky, its worth remembering this is not where you write your solution. This is simply your overall aim. There's no correct answer as it will be based on your problem, but it will likely be along the lines of 'minimise', 'reduce', 'address' etc.
Problem
You should determine your problem based on the topic you have chosen. You should take some time to research your topic to determine whats kinds of problems are relevant. Once you have picked your problem, you can return to the Problem Statement page to move onto the next step and develop your Extended Problem Statement.
