Core Problem Statement

To begin your project you will need to build a 'Core Problem Statement'. This will tell the reader what the problem is, who is most affected by it, and what you aim to do with it. This statement should be simple, you will have more time to go into details later.

The Problem Tree

Once you have determined your problem, you must consider it as a whole. Imagine it as a tree:

  • You should start by understanding what the consequences of your problem are (the branches)
  • Then understanding what the causes are
    (the roots).
